Update manager won't start.

Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

I just installed ubuntu, then i started the update manager ofcourse, then it crashed all of a sudden, my got overheated, so i set the temp lower, then i run ubuntu again, now the update manager won't even show up when i press the icon, could someone help me? :(

We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
