Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

This is on on Ubuntu 8.10 with update-manager 1:0.93.35

When I clicked on the "update for ufw" item in update-manager, I got the following message:

| The list of changes is not available yet.
|
| Please use http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ufw/0.23.3/+changelog
| until the changes become available or try again later.

I think it's obvious that the list of changes *is* available, as I can read them with my own eyes on the URL _given by update-manager itself_.

I know that update-manager gets its info from another place, but then at least the wording should be changed.

(Of course, even better, the problem making this message necessary could be fixed...)

Hi!

I have tried to reproduce your issue but I was unable. I did the following steps:
- downgraded uft to version 0.23.2
- launched update-manger and I was able to read the changelog.

Is this bug reproducible?

Thank you for reporting this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better.

This "bug" (I'd rather call it a UI inconsistency) happens between the release of a package on the servers and the uploading of its release/changes notes to another server. To reproduce it, try to read this info for a package shortly after it got uploaded onto the (main) Ubuntu download server.
