Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

The upgrade from 8.04 to 8.10 stopped and the following message was displayed in the terminal screen:

This particular bug has already been reported and is a duplicate of bug 262676, so it is being marked as such.

Could you please make tar.gz of your /var/lib/apt and /var/lib/dpkg directories and /etc/apt/ available somewhere ?

Please look at the other bug report to see if there is any missing information that you can provide, or to see if there is a workaround for the bug. Additionally, any further discussion regarding the bug should occur in the other report.

Feel free to continue to report any other bugs you may find.

I have formatted that computer since then; I no longer have those
directories available. Sorry.
