Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

I was unable to upgrade from 7.04 to 7.10. It failed while installing the packages. The dist-logs folder is attached.

Error: "Sorry the package 'update-manager' failed to install or upgrade"

Are you upgrading with the gutsy alternate cd ?

Yes, I was.

I had to uninstall the vlc package and only then it worked.
