Bug Description
Can you tell me if this is a bug and have to be reported as that?
I just upgraded to 8.04 to 8.10... It took about 2 hours to download the packages and about 1 and a half to install them... It was very annoying because every 5 minutes it promted me if i wanted to keep my configuration files or to rewrite them... the thing is... the whole proccess froze behind... I couldnt leave it unnatended... I had to check every 10 mins or so to see what was going on... cant it just keep updating and promt me for everything at the end?
Is it too hard to implement because the way it works or is it an interesting feature/bug?

debconf questions should already be asked at the start if it's possible to do so (some packages might not be able to use preconfiguration for some reason, but the vast majority do). Conffiles are much more difficult to handle in advance; bug 86028.
