Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

I'm very new to Kubuntu so sorry if this is elementary. My IT instructor killed my motherboard and is giving me this PC Kubuntu loaded. In doing the update I received the below. Can anyone help me with this..... I feel like a real novice (which I am with this OS and interface).....? thanks mgard

You must do :

sudo dpkg --configure -a

 >>> this is for install packaged that are already downloaded but not installed.

Its all that you need.

Thank you Gabriel.... I'm not sure what sudo dpkg --configure -a is, where I find it, what step to take to do it, etc. Is there a tutorial you could point me to? or a step by step script?

You'll need to enter that command in a command prompt. Konsole is a terminal emulator in KDE that you could use to do this.
