Bug Description
Binary package hint: update-manager
After starting 'update-manager' under a system with compiz:
If expanded (dropped down) 'update-manager' window is 'flung' (moved, and released under velocity) then the window will disappear from the desktop and taskbar. The installation appears to continue in the background just fine, and after a while a dpkg question (SSL message) popped up as normal.
The 'update-manager' was performing an update to 8.04LTS at the moment in question.
Ideally 'update-manager' (or more likely, the compositing window-manager) should not allow a window to 'vanish' when it is flung off the screen.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I've tried to recreate this bug report without having any success. Could you provide more detailed steps to recreate the bug or possibly add a screencast of the bug in action? Thanks in advance.
