Binary package hint: update-manager
After doing todays dist-upgrade proposed by the update-manager it removed 3 packages (obsoleted ?) and one of them was update-manager (by the way,anybody recall the other 2?).
Trying to reinstall the package was of course not possible due to unmet dependancies.Here is the output of sudo apt-get install update-manager:
$ sudo apt-get install update-manager

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
update-manager: Depends: update-manager-core (= 1:0.87.18) but 1:0.87.21 is to be installed
E: Broken packages
