Bug Description

Context: This is in Ubuntu 22.04 installed in Hyper-V from the Quick Start image.

The update tool tells me all packages are up to date, however there is a new version, 24.04. If I click the upgrade button, the application quits silently. I don't know why it won't upgrade.

EDIT: This message is in the journal error logs:

Wouldn't it prompt for authorization rather than fail silently?
