2) update-manager (not sure)
3) 1:0.87.10
4) If I press the "check" button after updating the update-manager hang-up. (no function, not at least close) it appears only with this constellation. if there was no update and I press again it works normal.

I've been unable to recreate this bug using update-manager version 1:0.87.12 in Hardy Heron.

Thanks for your bugreport.

could you please open a terminal window (e.g. gnome-terminal) and run "update-manager" in it and paste the output of this command when the error happens? It may output some more clues what goes wrong. Do you use a special locale? Or a plain english setup?

Chrigu, could you please recheck whether the problem still exists with the current version of update-manager?
You can check your version of update-manager by executing "dpkg-query -W update-manager" in a terminal window.

If you have problems obtaining the newest version of update-manager because of the reported problem, try upgrading update-manager alone, first.
Execute the following command in a terminal window, to do this.

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install update-manager

Sorry, I had loaded the page before Michael posted and didn't reload before submitting my comment.
I guess best way is to first obtain the newest version of update-manager as I described and then follow Michael's instruction.

Thanks in advance.
