thanks for reporting this bug. Did this occur during a regular update or as part of a distribution upgrade between versions of ubuntu? If it was a distribution upgrade could you attach the log files from /var/log/dist-upgrade if you still have them.

I fixed mc the problem, it was a conflict with the old nvidia driver and the
new one released with the upgrade distro.
The video card was not recognized properly, so going thru midnight console I
just edited the xorg.conf file with my video cards specs.
Everything works fine now. Thanks for getting back to me. Have a great
