Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

Hello,

I am installing the different alternate versions of Ubuntu 7.10 for i386 on different removable disks.

Installation of Ubuntu worked fine.

Installation of Kubuntu works fine, but the upgrade with new versions of packages runs into a problem:
one existing package can not be repaced. At this moment I don't know which one. (I am now in Debian)

But later this day or night I will start the installation again, start the upgrade and watch which package causes the problem

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I'm just curious if you've retested and were able to reproduce this issue? If so, could you please add all the files contained in /var/log/dist-upgrade/ to your bug report as separate attachments? Thanks in advance.
