Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

I typed sudo update-manager -d in the terminal to upgrade from 7.10 to 8.04 alpha 5. When the manager get new packages and started to install, it told me that /var/cache/apt/archives/update-manager_1%3a0.87.9_all.deb is in a not working state, so it is cannot be upgraded. After that it told me "pycentral" closed unexpectedly.
