Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage . I have classified this bug as a bug in update-manager which provides distribution upgrades.

This ticket is tagged feisty2gutsy, an upgrade path that is no longer supported. Is there still anything left that needs to be done in a later release?

since this upgrade path is no longer supported , this defect should be
deferred .

Vikram, thank you for the quick response. I'm not 100% sure what you mean by deferred. Deferred as in "to be resolved at a later time"? Launchpad does not support that AFAIK.

Going through your logs, it seems that this was a dependency-specific issue and those are usually release-specific and (hopefully) should not reoccur during a later release. Second, the only indication that I can find that your upgrade ultimately failed is from the screenshots, at least I cannot find what is ultimately failing in the text logs.

My recommendation would be to close this ticket as obsolete. What do you think?

Yes I think it would be nice to close this ticket as obsolete (should I do
it since I have raised this issue ?).
