You have a lot of unofficial software installed on your system, could you please remove them before upgrading and remove the archives from your sources.list? The upgrade should work then.

Thanks for your bugreport.

Could you please include the complete man.log file? It looks like the problem was caused by /var/cache/apt/archives/linux-image-2.6.20-16-generic_2.6.20-16.33_i386.deb being aborted. Did anything happen during the install that may have caused this abort (keyboard action like ctrl-c or something similar?).
