Could not calculate the upgrade

Binary package hint: update-manager

When trying to upgrade Hardy, I got a dialog box from the update-manager saying the following:

Could not calculate the upgrade
A unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade.
Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the files in /var/log/dist-upgrade/ in the bug report

I will attach the requested files to this bug report.

Are you sure this is a duplicate of #181762? The fix that is working for
everyone else on that bug does not work for me. (sudo cp
policy.2.1.FlickrNet.dll/usr/share/cli-common/policies.d/libflickrnet2.1.5-cil/)

In fact, on my system the directory libflickrnet2.1.5-cil did not even
exist.

#181762 doesn't has a fix yet as far as I can see...
you might be looking at 182130 which I thought had something to do with #181762
(since the libflickrnet was giving problems)

but your problem seems to be the same as discussed in #181762
