Partial update window disappears after being authenticated

Bug Description

I have noticed this since development branch of 17.10. Thought it was because it was still development, but since getting final release last month, I got a notified of Partial Upgrade. Up on entering root/admin password the update manager window closes. Needed to do dist-upgrade via terminal.
