update-manager (gutsy) fails when package file is broken

Bug #158974 reported by Michael W. on 2007-10-31
Affects Status Importance Assigned to Milestone
update-manager (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

I tried to upgrade libqt3-mt when a power outage hit my computer unexpectedly. After booting I again tried to upgrade libqt3-mt which didn't work because it told me the DEB file was broken. I had to manually delete the file in the cache and let u-m download it again.

In my opinion this should be done by synaptic/update-manager (or apt) automatically regarding user friendliness.

Due inactivity I'll close this bug. Also this version of Ubuntu is EOL. If you still encounter any bugs in Ubuntu, please feel free to report a bug. Thank you!
