Distribution Upgrade - Unable to get the prerequesites

Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

Trying to upgrade from 7.04 to 7.10 threw package manager, I got the fallowing message:

"The system was unable to get the prerequisites for the upgrade. The upgrade will abort now and restore the original system state.

Please report this as a bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the files in /var/log/dist-upgrade/ in the bugreport."

There appear to be multiple error logs that display the "prerequisites" error. You guys are not alone with your errors, there are many more here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-manager/+bug/153980

I've just turned out with this error as well ... I can gather the files for updates fine :(
