I tried the suggested fix and it only NEARLY worked for me:
I got the following error:

> space on disk '/'. Please free at least an additional 842M of disk space > on '/'. Empty your trash and remove temporary packages of former

I've already thrown out over 4Gb from my home directory but
I still get the error. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I've spent all day trying to upgrade to 7.10 from 7.04 but
I just can't get it past this state.
(Sorry if this isn't the write place to post questions but I couldn't
find where to submit questions on the web-page for this bug.)
