2014-11-21 16:15:02 Matthew Paul Thomas description Ubuntu 14.04 While I was running apt-get upgrade, Software Updater opened by itself and showed a variety of updates, including security updates. This isn't actually covered in the spec. It says that Software Updater should open to show *non-security* updates only if "no other package management utility (e.g. Synaptic or Ubuntu Software Center) is running". But it doesn't take into account the possibility that security updates are available but installing. <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SoftwareUpdates#Launching_automatically>: ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04 Package: update-manager 1:0.196.12 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.13.0-34.60-generic 3.13.11.4 Uname: Linux 3.13.0-34-generic i686 ApportVersion: 2.14.1-0ubuntu3.3 Aptdaemon: Architecture: i386 CurrentDesktop: Unity Date: Wed Sep 3 15:33:09 2014 GsettingsChanges: b'com.ubuntu.update-manager' b'show-details' b'true' b'com.ubuntu.update-manager' b'window-height' b'526' b'com.ubuntu.update-manager' b'first-run' b'false' b'com.ubuntu.update-manager' b'window-width' b'500' b'com.ubuntu.update-manager' b'launch-time' b'1409753634' InstallationDate: Installed on 2011-02-24 (1286 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" - Release i386 (20101007) PackageArchitecture: all SourcePackage: update-manager UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to trusty on 2014-03-10 (177 days ago) Ubuntu 14.04 While I was running apt-get upgrade, Software Updater opened by itself and showed a variety of updates, including security updates.
