Bug Description

Every once in a while the software updater prompts in my 12.10 GNOME/MATE without showing anything in the fields "Details of updates" and "technical description". So there's no info at all although Ubuntu wants to install some 100 KB of software (see attached screenshot). By closing and restarting the "Software Updater" the problem vanishes showing the complete installable software of some MBs with details and technical description. Not reproducible. And - I think - not very critical.

Reassigning to update-manager, evince is a pdf viewer, that's not the right component

affects: evince (Ubuntu) → update-manager (Ubuntu)
