Bug Description
Sometimes (last occurence April 14th, 2013) when applying system updates, the software updater window goes away, yet updates are actually being applied in the background.
It probably depends on system load at the time, since it doesn't happen every time.
The software updater window should not go away. I should be able to monitor the progress of updates being applied, and more importantly, know when updating is complete, and if it completed successfully.
This is similar to bug 1159589, but in this case, it happened on a machine that meets the minimum system requirements of Ubuntu/
I am using Ubuntu 12.10, Unity-Desktop, in this case.
I have also observed it in Lubuntu 12.10, and UbuntuStudio 12.04.
