I've tried what Wousser suggested above, but no luck. This is what happens when I open Update-Manager: An unresolvable problem occurred while initialising the package information. Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the following error message: 'E:Problem parsing dependency Suggests, E:Error occurred while processing openoffice.org (NewVersion1), E:Problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/gb.archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_gutsy_main_binary-i386_Packages, E:The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.' In an attempt to avoid duplicate big reporting, i've posted here, but if this is seperate to the above problems, could someone let me know, and i'll make a new report.
