Bug Description

I am unable to determine which package needs to be removed. I am seeing the error below:

  Could not calculate the upgrade

An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade:
E:Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages.

   This can be caused by:
   * Upgrading to a pre-release version of Ubuntu
   * Running the current pre-release version of Ubuntu
   * Unofficial software packages not provided by Ubuntu

If none of this applies, then please report this bug using the command 'ubuntu-bug update-manager' in a terminal.

I turned off all "Other Software" sites listed under "Software Sources". I ran the following with no change:

Found another website (http://askubuntu.com/questions/109210/could-not-calculate-the-upgrade-on-upgrade-from-11-04-to-11-10).

I ran the following and was finally able to get around the issue: apt-get remove libglib2-ruby1.8

You can close this defect.

reopening. Removing an official package to be able to upgrade doesn't make the report invalid.
