Bug Description

The unzip package show the behavior described in this Red Hat bugreport:

The symptom is that under some circumstances, files become corrupted during extraction. This seems to be a common problem when downloading zipped snapshots of the Linux kernel from sites like

I too have been affected by this bug. In particular, when downloading the following file from github

In Ubuntu 14.04 (ARM-hf)
sudo apt-get install unzip

This results in some filenames becoming corrupt. For examples
ls linux-xlnx-xlnx_3.17/fs/f2fs/

Will show one filename with a corrupted name that has been replaced by a code segment.
