Bug Description
The unzip package show the behavior described in this Red Hat bugreport: https:/
The symptom is that under some circumstances, files become corrupted during extraction. This seems to be a common problem when downloading zipped snapshots of the Linux kernel from sites like github.com.

I too have been affected by this bug. In particular, when downloading the following file from github
In Ubuntu 14.04 (ARM-hf) /github. com/Xilinx/ linux-xlnx/ archive/ xlnx_3. 17.zip
sudo apt-get install unzip
wget https:/
unzip xlnx_3.17.zip
This results in some filenames becoming corrupt. For examples xlnx_3. 17/fs/f2fs/
ls linux-xlnx-
Will show one filename with a corrupted name that has been replaced by a code segment.
