Bug Description

As the summary says, Turning off the tablet's screen while connected to an external display causes the external display's screen to go black rather than leave the image on the screen. I understand that the tablet screen becomes a touchpad and keyboard for those who don't have a way to interface with it, but I would expect the external display to be able to be turned off in the case that there are external keyboard and mouse.

In my case, the screen staying on constantly causes the tablet to continue to heat up while charging and causes it to not be able to be charged (as the heat is throttling charging eventually due to the screen heat, I run into this problem on Android with the screen on while charging and in use)

Device: Google ASUS Nexus 7 Flo (2013)
Channel: rc-proposed running version 455

If this is intended then my ticket should be considered an enhancement request, if the behavior is unintended then do with it as you will. :)

I think you meant

"...but I would expect the *TABLET* display to be able to be turned off..."

But I agree. It forces me to take breaks to let the battery charge :P

Thank you for bringing that to my attention, I did indeed mean the tablet display. Sorry, was rushing around and wanted to get this reported before I forgot to do it.
