Bug Description

Unity8 apps never disconnect from Mir cleanly.

Even if I kill an app "cleanly" from the spread, the SessionMediator report for unity8 shows it was terminated abruptly:

[1442998678.171561] <ERROR> frontend::SessionMediator: virtual mir::frontend::SessionMediator::~SessionMediator() - session_error("QtUbuntu"):

This means the client died without disconnecting or releasing surfaces correctly.

To get the report, use:

$ restart unity8 MIR_SERVER_SESSION_MEDIATOR_REPORT=log
$ tail -f ~/.cache/upstart/unity8.log | grep SessionMed | grep -v submit_buf

affects: mir → unity8 (Ubuntu)

Actually it might be related to unity8 still:

surfaceItem.surface = null; in unity8 SurfaceContainer.qml

That just stops it from rendering into the ui. Does not destruct anything at that point.
