Names in Favorite Contacts are cut at the bottom

Please see the attached screenshot. The name should read 'Some Gorge' but 'g' in 'Gorge' is not fully visible.

I see long contact names either cut when there is not enough space or perhaps wrapped with the second wrapped line hidden.

For example, I made a (favorite) contact "Averylong Testcontactname" and I saw only "Averylong".

And I made a (favorite) contact "Anamethatistoolongtoevenbereasonable Anytime" and I saw only "Anamethatistoolongto".

In neither case is there an ellipse ("...") indicating the text has been truncated.

Since the proper fix as noted is in unity8, the question is what can we do in the short term to provide a better user experience given that scopes cannot directly access widget properties.

One possibility: switch from carousel to horizontal-list

This provides more space for very long names and provides an ellipse in the rare case where a name is so long it needs to be truncated.

Please see attached for how this looks with my very long contact names.

There is an ellipse, it's down there with the rest of the content you can't see.

fixed (a workaround to unity8 issue) with today scope 1.9.2 (attached), which is bzr rev 50.

Now that the unity8 fix is in, we can revert Today contacts to using the carousel: reopening.
