BQ E4.5 (r24): hardware buttons not working

Sometimes my BQ is in the situation where:

1. the audio up/down buttons have no visible effect and no influence on the audio level
2. pressing both does not do a screen shot
3. the power button does suspend and wakeup on short press, but does not bring up the menu for reboot/shutdown/cancel on long press

I think(?), I saw this with r24 too, but I'm not sure.

I've played around with the device for a while but haven't experienced what you describe.
does your problem self-heal ? and does it self-heal only with a reboot ?
also, do you happen to have any crash files in /var/crash/ ?

it happens from time to time and is only be fixed with reboot; I have no crash files about the dates when it happened;
sudo /system/bin/logcat -db radio
