Search results popup appears mid-swipe between scopes

Using #31 on mako (but seen on other versions)

1. Go to home scope
2. Press Search at the top
3. Type something
4. Without waiting for results to finish, swipe to the next scope

Observe the results popup appears briefly mid-swipe. See video.
