Having many apps open causes preview icons to go black

Bug Description

I have open all the installed apps in one session and all the preview icons become black, I was expecting the system to start killing apps before that.

Observation: if left unattended for a while the previews eventually load, but when scrolling up or down the list the images disappear again. The rendering seems to be too slow when there are many apps open.

Setting to low because it is not nice but doesn't affect usability (icons have labels)

Can't reproduce now, probably fixed in the lots of rewrites that part of the code had, setting to incomplete in 60 days so it closes itself unless someone can reproduce
