Bug Description

After logging into the session, the swipe wizard is shown on every login.

It'd be great to disable it once it's been run once, so that users don't have to go through it on every single login.

thanks, did you complete the wizard? it should write a config and not show again for the user (or do you wipe/recreate your userdir every time?) are you speaking about the oobe wizard (configuration) or about the unity8 demo?

I don't think unity8-desktop-session is affected by this, only unity8-lxc. I suspect $HOME is not set up correctly in the container, so when unity8 checks to see if ~/.config/ubuntu-system-settings/wizard-has-run is there, it does not find it due to $HOME not being correct...or at least that is my theory at the moment.

I confirm I see this on unity8-lxc, but not in the unity8-desktop-session using the same user on the same machine.

Thanks Seb. As Chris is saying, this might be specific to the unity8 in LXC
session, so apologies if I filed it against the wrong project. It's
difficult for me to say where bugs should be assigned, so I added both just
in case.

To answer the questions, I complete the wizard each time. It's not the full
OOBE wizard, but just 2 steps of the wizard that shows how to use the
launcher. In particular, these are the two steps that I'm welcomed with
every time I enter the session:

I do not wipe my /home dir, I'm reusing my regular home, which is mounted
on the LXC container.

Cheers,
David.

I believe this should no longer be occurring with the latest development releases of unity8-lxc. Could you please try and confirm?
