Unity launcher bar does not remove device icons when device is unmounted

When unmounting a device (drive, etc) the device unmounts properly, but icon remains in launcher bar. Also, sometimes when the launcher is hidden, it takes several times moving the mouse to the left side to reveal the launcher bar.

Upgraded to 12.04 LTS 64 bit from Natty.

Yes, it happens every time. The device will unmount, but remains in the
