Bug Description

Result was an unusable ubuntu. ==> CTRL ALT F1 and sudo reboot.

opened applications:
 - eclipse
 - empathy
 - evince
 - gnome-terminal
 - midori
 - xournal

Has Unity worked fine in the past? If not, you might want to try using Unity 2D. It looks the same as Unity 3D, but the advance affects are not present and it is built differently.

Try running Unity 2D and report back.

Yes, Unity worked fine and it worked fine after the reboot. Why I should use Unity 2D? I want to use Unity 3D.

If Unity keeps having problems, it is either a bug or your hardware is not up to par with Unity 3D. Unity 2D is just a step down from Unity 3D, and honestly, they look exactly the same.
