Bug Description

Start a long-running copy operation. Show the desktop. Bring control back to the file manager windows. The copy dialog does not display. On the unity bar, right-click the file manager icon and click "Show Copy Dialog". The operation yields no result. The copy dialog does not show. I have been unsuccessful at finding a workaround.

Is this still a duplicate if it is present on a different major version of Ubuntu? This report is for 12.04. Bug #887821 is for 11.10. That is why I reported it.

Im a noob and the bug is REALLY annoying as I am very dependent on copy function, can I maybe help in any way?
