I also had the same apport error appear, this was on up-to-date (as of earlier today) Quantal (I was the second "I am affected" user). Will keep reporting whether it appears again.

I have experienced this crash several times, under Unity 6.10 and 6.12. For me, each time I can recall, it's been triggered by using the Launcher's workspace switcher, or at least happens just after that. Thanks.

As part of the big bug clear up for 16.04 LTS I am marking this bug as Wont Fix.
These types of crasher are better handled by errors.ubutnu.com which can collate similar crash reports to help us identify persitent bugs rather than one-off crashes.
