Bug Description
Unity appears to lose drag and drop events during the panel fade effect. Before the fade, and after the fade, drag and drop works perfectly.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Have a few text files on one side of the desktop, and a text editor open on the other side.
2. Drag files onto text editor to open them.
3. During the Unity panel fade animation, drag and drop will be lost.
The reason why I suggest having files and text editor on opposite sides of the desktop is to allow sufficient time for the Unity panel to decide to fade.
This issue exists in Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 2 and Ubuntu 11.10, exactly the same.

Small update:
This happens on systems running nVidia's binary graphics driver (GTX560), and also AMD's Catalyst (E-350), both versions from Ubuntu 12.04's repo as of April 1, 2012.
The timing is critical in reproducing this bug. After a bit more testing here, it seems once the fade animation is over half way done, drag and drop can work, but in the first half, the event will be lost.
