Bug Description
This bug is easy to see, but hard to describe. I've read all about Unity terminology at:
http://
However, there is no mention for the little white dots for when you run an application. I will just refer to these as white dots for this bug report. Anyhow, back to the actual bug. Launch Gedit. Notice how the white dots appear next to it in the launcher. Now, lock it to the launcher. Close Gedit. Now, launch it again. Notice that no white dots appear next to it in the launcher. Now, unlock it from the launcher. Go to the Unity Dash and search for gedit and launch it again. Now, it won't even appear in the Unity launcher. I will upload a screenshot or two momentarily.

This bug is strange. Now, I can't seem to reproduce it. It was reproducible before, though. I will give it a week, and if it doesn't come back, I'll mark the bug as invalid.
