When in the Workspace Switcher, clicking on the launcher changes the application focus but not the workspace focus

Steps to reproduce:
1- Have 2 different applications in 2 different workspaces
2- from the currently focused application's workspace, activate the switcher
3- click the other application's icon in the launcher: the focus correctly switches to the other one (and it's raised if there were other windows in between)
4- double click on the same icon to exit the switcher

you are being brought back to the first workspace, and the menu bar won't show any menu at all

Same here. There seems to be an additional problem with regard to which workspace is marked (orange border). Clicking on the applications icon to bring it back to screen size only works if the corresponding workspace is chosen.
