After using expo plugin panel and launcher lose focus and require additional click to start act

After using expo plugin and switch to 1st destop from third (or from 3rd to first. or sometimes after switching from 1 to 2 or 2-3 or 3-2 or something) panel losed focus and require to click on them before act. i can reproduce this with expo plugin from edge and somethimes from laucher and hotkey (but from edge this bug 100% works). Lose focus= you must click on panel before change folume with mouse wheel or wake menu from indocator. or click on laucher before you can switch/start applications through laucher. im trying to make video, but kazam also crashed [another bug but not in this workaround]. started after upgrade unity to 5.6 (didnt lose focus on 5.4). switching windows through hotkeys works fine.only switch throug expo

looks like kazam cant finish record with webm codec on 12.04. but h264 works fine,so after 20-30 mins (depends on my ISP) i will upload video on youtube

I'm using ubuntu 12.04 as well with all updates from proposed as well. I'm not home right now but i think i'm running unity 5.16.

When I go select a workspace this happens like 50% of the time or sometimes even when I start terminal with Ctrl+Alt+T that panel+launcher loses focus.

What this means I have to click launcher or panel top of the screen to make it active again.

Example if i have two terminal windows open and I select workspace they are in no top panel menu is shown for the terminal windows even if I change focus between those two terminal windows. To get menu back i have to either click launcher or top panel.

Also if I want to launch something from launcher i first have click launcher or top panel then second click on launcher launches something.

I'll probably have time tonight to do a video about this bug.

This might be same problem as with Bug #1035628.
Patch seem to target UnityScreen::OnSwitcherStart method. Maybe that method gets called when workspace selector is run and that fix helps.
When unity 5.18 is released i'll have to see if those fixes that have been committed to bug will fix this bug as well.

Addition to previous video I forgot to add that i tried 5.16.0-0ubuntu2~test1 from unity team ppa uploaded 2012-10-26. I think it should have had fix for Bug #1035628 but it didn't fix this bug. So these are two separate bugs.
