Does this happen everytime? How are you actually launching GVim when this happens? Using the dash, or from a pinned launcher icon?

Hi, I am launching gvim both way with the same result. I found a solution: login to Unity 2D which restored configuration files screwed up by shitty 3D desktop and then you can login to 3D and everything works.

I 'm experiencing this with qtcreator from qt sdk online installer. Seems qtcreator disappears from unity app switcher and launcher after suspend, with the qtcreator process running.
