Bug Description

I have Pidgin and Tomboy in Startup applications. They (the buddy list or tomboy window) are sometimes drawn under launcher and panel. It is annoying, if I did not know to use alt+f7, I would not be able to get it out of there.

See attached screenshot.

I think this problem happens when pidgin starts even before unity starts so no window manager is running at the time and pidgin takes the top left corner(I might totally be wrong). What compiz should do in this situation is the question to be answered though. I have seen this sometimes on restarting unity.

Yes, it happens more often when logging out and in I think. I also think you are right, but someething should be done as doing nothing is not desirable:-).
