Bug Description

I am using few desktops with Unity/3D in setup:

1. terminal + gvim(s)
2. firefox + chromium
3. thunderbird

And many times when I switch application (Start+[1-9] keys) I am landing in application but also I am not able to type anything in window. Have to switch to other window/desktop and back to get it working.

This affects only keyboard input - window is active, I can use mouse to interact with it but not keyboard.

This happens to me quite a lot, it seems that focus gets "lost" somehow and the window rendered with focused decoration is not really focused in practice.

the issue seems similar to bug #896762 "Switching viewports with ctrl-alt-(left/right/up/down) does not give the highest window on the target viewport focus"

It's not like bug #891250 cause anything I type does not end in any of opened windows.

thanks for your bug report. Is that still an issue in Ubuntu 12.04? Can you please test that and let us know?

I do not use 12.04 (quantal on all machines) and migrated back to KDE. But maybe Zygmunt may confirm.
