pidgin launcher icon backlight changes colour after using switcher

On login, the backlight colour for Pidgin is a light purplish-whitish colour. After using alt+tab it turns into a much darker purple. This also happens if you were to change the launcher size and back so I assume it's related.

I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 with Unity version 4.22.0.

This bug also affects Rhythmbox.

Pidgin's color problem seems to happen if the icon size is less than 46 or more than 50.
Rhythmbox isnt so consistent though. This happened in Ubuntu Natty and is still present in Ubuntu Oneiric.

Also, using CCSM to play around with the icon sizes brings up odd results with Rhytmbox and Pidgin.

I have encountered the Rhythmbox icon sometimes gets a light green backlight color.. Strange. It's usually white-grey-ish... Doesn't make any sense, neither does it look good.. This should really be a quick fix, but I have seen it in Ubuntu since 11.04 I think..
