Resume from suspend with Unity 3D takes a very long time

Resume from suspend with Unity-2D is instant, with Unity-3D the mouse and interface lag. It takes it about 5 seconds to unlock my screen, and about 10 to display my desktop. Once the desktop is actually displayed, then everything behaves normally.
