[regression] byobu application not launching from panel

Byobu is an application with a launcher that runs the application in a terminal window.

As of yesterday, it is no longer possible to search for Byobu in the dash and run it. It is also impossible to click on the Byobu icon in the Launcher and run it. A window briefly pops up and then goes away immediately.

This regression was introduced in the last 48 hours :-(

Tested with today's unity, and this works for me. I also checked this in a guest session. Dustin, can you please check in guest session as well, to check whether it's an issue in your settings or a system-wide one?

Do you get the search result in the dash, but it doesn't start, or do you not even get the result?

Hmm, I just upgraded and rebooted, and the problem persists.

Possibly related, gnome-settings-daemon is crashing.

I just created a new guest user, logged in, and it works fine.

Evidently it's some configuration in my home directory that's incompatible with upgrades...

Does unity --reset solve the problem?

Unfortunately, no, 'unity --reset' does not. Tried that...

This appears "fix-released" as of tonight. This just started working again. Thanks.
