Mounted drive icon on the desktop (enabled through gnome-tweak-tool) doesn't respond to clicks and right clicks

Bug Description

I have enabled the showing of mounted drives in the desktop through gnome-tweak-tool. The external drive icon shows up in the desktop when it is plugged in. But the icon is not responding to clicks or right-clicks, making it impossible to open it using the icon as a launcher.
