KDE app "TeXMaker" has no icon in Unity

The application TeXMaker sometimes has no icon in Unity, while it sometimes does have one in launcher, dash, alt-tab etc. I do not know how to reproduce this.

Unfortunately it is not possible to make a proper screenshot of this. However, in the attached picture you can see that there should be an icon above the workspace switcher.

I get the same thing when running Kate from Unity. A general problem with KDE apps perhaps?

It could be related to bug 772063 or one of the Libreoffice issue with launcher as well.

the icon is not present in the unity bar and in the ALT+TAB bar, however, it is present in the dash GUI

when running texmaker from shell the problem does not show up, the icon is nicely present in both the unity bar and the ALT+TAB bar
