Same here, using nvidia-current.
Latest unity update seems to be the cause.

Changed in unity (Ubuntu):

Also affecting me; it's pretty bad. It feels like a corrupt layer sized to the screen is placed in between the unity launcher and the rest (windows, desktop, pop up menus, etc.)

The only two interfaces displaying over the corrupt layer are the dash and the switch-to window.

Nvidia driver is corrupting the FBO on suspend. We'll have to hack around the issue due to a buggy driver.

Restarting session (logging in and out) fixes the display. Unlock screen and unity panels are not affected.

Same here . I do not think it's nvidia-current that leads to this bug, which seems to affect me since the last upgrade of unity and ubuntu-desktop.

I can confirm that. This problem was not triggered by nvidia driver update. It'd be nice if someone got assigned to this bug...

I notice you're using a Quatro FX 570M. I've got exactly the same issue (very similar to your screenshot) on a GeForce GT 430 desktop card.
